B2M Announces “Black Heroes Essay” Contest

In honor of Black History Month and as a literacy building tool, Building Better Men (B2M) is holding it annual “Black Heros Essay” contest for young black males from 5th to 12th grade, providing them opportunity to recognize their favorite deceased or living role model.  The winner of the contest will receive $500, with cash prizes also for second and third place. These 250-word essays, written as letters, will be judged by the B2M team.  The cash awards are being made available through B2M supporters.

Entries are due by February 18 and should be submitted to odis@buildingbettermen.org
